Julie Lyn Steidl died at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the age of 52 years old. A memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 2PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. OBITUARY Julie Lyn Creasy Steidl was born on November 24, 1962, the daughter of James Lee and Joyce (Blackford) Creasy in Fairmont, MN. She graduated in 1980 from Farmington High School and then met the love of her life Daniel Steidl in 1981. They were married on July 5, 1985 at the Spruce Hill Lutheran Church. Four children were born to this marriage Jacob, Danny, Amanda, and Benjamin. They lived on the family farm north of Carlos. Julie worked at a Jim and Judy’s Gas Station, and the Miltona Supper Club. She also worked her way up to assistant manager with Walmart of Alexandria during her 20 plus years of employment. Julie worked with Rice Home Medical before working most recently for Herbergers as a department manager. Julie was a smart, beautiful, fashionable, passionate, strong-willed, and independent woman. She took great pride in her flower garden. She was also a creative photographer. As much as she enjoyed her gardens and flowers the love for family and especially her grandchildren could never be matched. Julie raised her children with lots of love and showed them how to be passionate about the things that are important to them. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Julie L. Steidl died on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 52 years old. She is survived by her loving husband Daniel Steidl of Carlos, children Jacob (Jo) Steidl of Miltona, Danny Steidl (special friend Courtney) of Miltona, Amanda Steidl of Carlos and Benjamin Steidl of Carlos; grandchildren Isabell, Laney, Landon, and Adalyn; father-in-law Ted (Norma) Steidl of Alexandria; sisters Cindy (John) Esteban of San Diego, CA, Kathy (Richard) Cook of Minneapolis, Tamie (Joe) McArdle of Bloomington; sister-in-laws Gwen (Pat) Thoennes, Bonnie (Dan) Shay, Patty (Dennis) Fischer, Jackie (Dave) Fitzgerald, Jane Patrick, Sheri (Scott) Ellis, brother-in-law Ted (Carrie) Steidl, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Joyce Creasy and her mother-in-law Marlys Steidl. A Memorial Mass was held on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, MN. www.andersonfuneral.net
