Joy Zwiers Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Joy Ann Zwiers was born on May 23, 1965 at Redwood Falls, Minnesota. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 28, 2008 at her home where she lived with her parents. Lowell and Ruth Zwiers on Lake Chippewa near Brandon, MN at the age of 42 years. Joy attended the Redwood County DAC in Clements, MN for three years, and then went to Redwood Falls Public School where she graduated in 1986. She moved to her present home with her parents in 1988 and worked at the Douglas DAC in Alexandria until the present. In spite of her handicap and numerous medical problems through out her life time she was always cheerful and very loving. Joy is survived by her parents, Lowell and Ruth, two brothers John and wife Patti of Fergus Falls, MN and Joel and wife Jodi of Nelson, MN and also five nieces and nephews Jenna, Jerod, Zakary, Thomas and Natalie, whom Joy dearly loved. In her younger years Joy loved swimming and going for boat rides in the lake. A funeral service will be held May 2, 2008 at the Evangelical Covenent Church in Alexandria, with the Rev. John LeVahn and Rev. Rol Boyce, officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Garfield, MN. Pallbearers are Vern Junker, Steve Junker, LeRoy Tripplett, Darwin Johnson, Kyle Nelson and Jeremy Heetland. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
