Janice Wynn Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Janice Mae Wynn was born on March 12, 1944 in Bemidji, MN the daughter of Carl and Esther (Smith) Erickson. She attended Bemidji High School. Janice was a lively and very outgoing woman. She liked to bring joy and love to those around her. She loved her family and was always there for her children, grandchildren and friends. Some of her hobbies were going to a good garage sale, swimming, dancing, and singing. She also liked to garden and was a great 500 Rummy card player who would never turned down a game. Janice will be missed by those who loved and knew her. Janice M. Wynn died on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Bethany Home surrounded by her family after a long fought battle with brain cancer for over 10 years. She is survived by her mother Esther Erickson of Bemidji, MN; son Colin Nelson of Alexandria, MN; daughters Sheila (Robert) Anderson of Carlos, MN; Sharon (Wallace) Weisert of Columbia Falls, MT; Sarah Thomas of Alexandria; eight grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers Robert Erickson of Park Rapids, MN; Kenneth Erickson of Bemidji, MN; sisters Betty (Kurt) Martin of Fergus Falls, MN; Leona (Robert) Erickson of Pine River, MN; nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father brothers Oscar and Jack Erickson; sister Linda Erickson and a nephew Swen Erickson. A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18, 2008 at Bethany Home Chapel with the Reverend Andrea Olson officiating. Interment was in the Zunker Cemetery in Carlos Township. Casket Bearers were Colin Nelson, Christopher Kotzer, Jason Erickson, Jesse Thomas, Andrew Thomas, and Kurt Martin. Honorary Casket Bearers were Brian LaCoursiere, Steve LaCoursiere, Kenneth LaCoursiere and Scott Weisert. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. www.andersonfuneral.net
