Lois Rudow Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lois was born February 14, 1927, to Elmer and Hannah Triebold in Valley City, North Dakota. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Valley City High School. On June 6, 1948 she married Donald Rudow. The couple remained in Valley City while Don attended college and Lois worked as a bank teller. They moved to Grand Forks ND where Don earned his Master of Education degree, then lived in Hankinson ND and Ulen MN briefly before settling down in Fertile MN where they lived and worked for 40 years and raised their family. Lois worked as a secretary for Concordia Lutheran Church and sorted mail at the local Post Office. In their younger years, Don and Lois loved to dance, play cards, go fishing and tend their garden together. In 2000 the couple moved to Alexandria MN to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Don passed away in 2007. Family was important to Lois. She enjoyed attending her grandsons? concerts and sporting events, never missed a birthday celebration, and looked forward to any family get-togethers. Lois? greatest love and concern was always for her family. Lois was an active member of First Lutheran Church and enjoyed quilting with the Calvary Lutheran Church ladies. Lois died Tuesday, June 25, at home. She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn (Roy) Snyder of Columbia Heights MN and Diane (Kyle) Pearson of Alexandria MN; grandsons Evan Pearson, Derek Pearson, and Bryant Pearson; brother Eugene (Arlene) Triebold, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Roland Triebold, and nephew, Ronald Triebold. A memorial service was held Monday, July 1, at First Lutheran Church, Alexandria MN with the Reverend Greg Billberg officiating. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Valley City ND.
