Lois Berglin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lois Kay (Olson) Berglin was born on September 6, 1937, in Alexandria, Minnesota, the daughter of Clifford and Florence (Johnson) Olson. She attended Alexandria High School. Lois was united in marriage to Stuart Berglin on May 5, 1959 at First Lutheran Church in Alexandria. To this union two children were born, Scott and Tracy. The family lived in Alexandria where Lois worked at Jo Ann Fabrics once the kids were grown. She enjoyed decorating her home and was constantly updating. People would always say it looked like it came ?right out of a magazine.? Lois enjoyed shopping in unique stores and going to garage sales to find treasures for her home, family and friends. She was an excellent seamstress and made many outfits for her grandchildren while they were growing up. Her grandchildren loved going to grandmas for Christmas, as it was always filled with warmth and holiday spirit. Lois had a sense of humor and wit about her that everyone loved. And no one ever had to wonder what was on her mind because she was always willing to share her opinion. Lois died on Sunday, March 30, 2014. She is survived by her children: Scott of Alexandria & fiance?, Sheilla Wills, Tracy (Bob) Dreger of Ottertail, MN; five grandchildren: Shanah Berglin of Gilbert, AZ; Keisha Berglin of Gilbert, AZ,; Brody Dreger of Redlands, CA; Chassy Dreger of Charlotte, NC; Scoti Berglin; three great grandchildren: Halah, Elka, Kaeda; brother, Paul Olson of Andover; sister, Joan (Don) Hinrichs of Osakis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart; two sisters: Dolores Solum and Marion Merten; brother, Kenneth Olson. Memorial services were held on Thursday, April 3, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home. Burial was at the Evergreen Cemetery.
