Adella Grundei Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Adella Mary was born on September 12, 1929, in Clotho, Minnesota, the daughter of Peter and Rose (Stoetzel) Feda. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. Adella was united in marriage to Melvin L. Grundei on June 30, 1953, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Belle River. The family made their home in the Carlos area where they raised five children. Adella will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very giving and generous person who was always thinking of others. She had a strong faith and instilled that in her family. She died on Monday, September 8, 2008, at the Douglas County Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Melvin; five children: Janet (Alan) Cleve of Prescott, AZ, Jim (Karen) Grundei of Carlos, Jean Steen (Ron Anderson) of Alexandria, Judy (Rex) Clay of Long Prairie, MN, Joyce (Bill) Luckow of Coon Rapids, MN; ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two sisters: Teresa (Bob) Leonard of Blaine, MN, Donna (Dave) Kittelson of Woodbury, MN; brother, Dennis (Ardelle) Feda of Clarissa, MN; sister-in-law, Eileen Feda of Oakdale, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents: Peter & Rose Feda; infant sister, Rose; sister, Juletta Steidl, brother, Derald Feda. Prayer service was held on Thursday, September 11, 2008, 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, September 12, 2008, 1:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Belle River. Pallbearers were her grandsons: Brad Sattler, Justin Steen, Brian Steen, Trevor Grundei, Jared Grundei, Ryan Clay, Tyler Clay, Alex Luckow. Burial was at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Belle River.
