Larry Geopfert Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Larry was born on October 24, 1956, in Grantsburg, Wisconsin to the proud parents of Ewald and Gertrude Goepfert. The family moved to St. Paul, Minnesota where they resided in the heart of the city. Larry started working at a young age to help out his family. He quickly learned how to go ?Junkin? with his dad and brothers to make a living for their family. Larry met his first wife, Toni in 1982, after falling in love they quickly started a family. To this union three wonderful children were born. After thirteen years together they decided to go their separate ways. The couple remained friends throughout the years. In the mid 1990?s he moved to LeRoy, Minnesota where he purchased a home and worked in Rochester for several years. In 2003, he moved in with his daughter, April and her three daughters and after living with them for several years he moved in with Tasha and Eric where he spent the rest of his days. Larry enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow and getting on the floor and playing with them and sneaking the babies cookies and candy. He also liked teasing them and watching ?The Price is Right?, Jeff Proebs, Wheel of Fortune, CSI. His last days spent with his kids and grandkids will never be forgotten. Larry died on Sunday, January 13, 2013. He is survived by his three children: Michael, April and Natasha; grandchildren: Shawn, Miguel, Gabriella, Santiago, Thalia, Tiana, Arianna, Amillio, Eric Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ewald & Gertrude; sister, Nikki; brother, Steven. Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 17, 2013, 1:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Erickson officiating. Pallbearers were Mike Herrera, Eric Fuhs, Tasha Matthews, Larry Bell. Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home. www.andersonfuneral.net
