Angela Spaeth Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Angela Christina (Prazak) Spaeth was born in Evansville, MN on December 8, 1917 the daughter of John and Regina (Pehan) Prazak. She attended school District # 56 in Douglas County. She was united in marriage to Leander Spaeth on June 17, 1941 at Seven Dolor?s Catholic Church in Millerville, MN. They farmed for 25 years before moving to Alexandria. She was a loving mother and a friend to many. She enjoyed being a homemaker and a gardener, with a special love of flowers. After a stroke in 2004, she made her home at Knute Nelson. There she began embroidering again and many friends and family members have received gifts of her work. Her greatest joy was having family together. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. Angela died on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Knute Nelson at the age of 95 years. She is survived by her daughter Jean (Roger) Odegaard of Alexandria; son Gary (Pat) Spaeth of Alexandria; son-in-law Wayne (Verda) Dreger of Miltona, MN; eight grandchildren Jeanne (Nate) Thiesfeld of St. Bonifacius, MN; Ken (Sheri) Dreger of Deer Trail, CO; Sandy (Keith) Wussow of Garfield, MN; Brenda (Craig) Mariucci of Clovis, CA; Chris (Steph) Odegaard of Lino Lakes, MN; Jennifer (Tom) Borgenheimer of St. Cloud, MN; Jeremy (Carla) Spaeth of Brandon, MN; Jenel (Dan) Palm of Alexandria; 21 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leander Spaeth; son Delbert Prazak; daughter Delores Dreger; sisters Regina Prazak, Rita Schmidt; brothers John Jr. Prazak, Frank Prazak, Raymond Prazak, Aloys Prazak, and Daniel Prazak. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Alexandria with Father Steve Binsfeld officiating. Interment was in the St. Mary?s Catholic Mausoleum. Casket Bearers were Jeanne Thiesfeld, Ken Dreger, Sandy Wussow, Brenda Mariucci, Chris Odegaard, Jennifer Borgenheimer, Jeremy Spaeth, Jenel Palm.
